Gregory Who? Gregorian Chant
Led by the guiding hand of William Tortolano, it will be no mystery how to read square note notation, sing in Latin, and direct the chant using chrionmony (the art of gesture and hand movement). Congregations, choirs and scholars all can sing Gregorian chant. Handouts will be available: neumes, modes, pronunciation, chrionomy as well as style and interpretation. The session will include singing a useful chant repertoire. "The person who sings, prays twice."
