ANDREW R. GALUSKA
Andrew R.Galuska performs extensively throughout the United States and Canada as a solo artist and with many orchestral and choral ensembles. Mr. Galuska has presented master classes for various American Guild of Organists chapters and has performed at numerous conventions, most recently the national convention of the Organ Historical Society (2005). One of America's brightest "Rising Stars" in organ improvisation, Andrew's repertoire spans six centuries with a particularly strong affinity for the masters of the French Romantic era. His début recording will be released before the end of 2007 on the Stereophile Record label. Andrew has been awarded numerous awards and citations in organ and improvisation. Currently, Andrew is writing a series of organ method books on hymn improvisation and hymn playing for FJH Music Publishers.
Andrew received his Bachelor's of Music degree from Rhode Island College (Providence, RI) where he studied organ performance. In 2001 Mr. Galuska earned a Master of Music degree, magna cum laude, in organ performance from the Moores School of Music, University of Houston and has completed post-graduate work (organ & choral) at the Shepherd School of Music, Rice University (Houston, TX). Andrew has studied with Normand Gingras, Berj Zamkochian, Stephen Martorella, Robert Bates and Clyde Holloway. Mr. Galuska has also studied French Romantic organ literature with Olivier Latry and Daniel Roth at McGill University's Academie Estivale d'Orgue. Andrew has been awarded numerous awards and citations in organ and improvisation.
